Alyssa Milano speaks about former 'Charmed' co-star Shannen Doherty following her death from cancer at 53.
Following Doherty’s death from cancer at the age 53, Milano spoke of her co-star in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Deadline. “It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but at its core was someone I deeply respected and was in awe of,” Milano said. Rumors of The Charmed behind-the-scenes drama had persisted for two decades after Doherty’s 2001’s exit, with Milano asked to address it as recently as earlier this year after Combs and Doherty discussed it during on the latter’s podcast Let’s Be Clear, claiming that Milano had played a role in it.
