All there is to know about Shetland actor Lewis Howden's famous family including BBC soap star

Shetland season nine of the BBC thriller is underway and while DI Ruth Calder is still the new kid on the block, there are many main characters who have been on the show since the beginning.

Currently riding high on the ninth season of the show, where DI Ruth Calder is played by the incredible Ashley Jensen, fans have kept up with their favourites since 2013, including Lewis's character, the rock-solid Sergeant McCabe. Lewis isn't just an accomplished actor himself, known for his work in Taggard and Hope Springs; he also has a famous sibling - Kathryn Howden, known for her role as Maggie McLean in the Scottish soap opera River City.
