Alison Pepper, CBS News Executive Overseeing Talent Development, to Exit

Alison Pepper, a CBS News veteran who enjoyed top roles in talent development and in '60 Minutes,' will exit after the election

Alison Pepper, a longtime talent executive at CBS News who has recently been in her second run at the Paramount Global unit, will leave following the 2024 presidential election, she revealed to staffers in a memo sent Thursday. Paramount Global has been seeking to cut $500 million from its budget as it grapples with declines in linear audiences at its cable networks and massive costs to run its Paramount+ streaming service. During her first run at CBS News, Pepper rose to senior producer at “ 60 Minutes,” where she helped to manage the broadcast, and hire new reporters for both on-camera and off-screen roles.
