For the Love of Dogs host Alison Hammond once opened up on why she decided to embark on a weight loss journey.

Alison, who is hosting For the Love of Dogs tonight (Tuesday, May 7), weighed 20 stone at her heaviest before her weight loss journey began. The 49-year-old – who has previously revealed that she couldn’t lose weight even when fitted with a gastric band – was diagnosed with a pre-diabetic condition at the time. “She thinks Alison is way too old for David and doesn’t like all the attention her TV fame has brought to her son,” a source told The Sun.
