Alison Brie To Lead FX's Witness Protection Pilot; David Chase Out
David Chase was previously attached to the project, but has stepped back due to a scheduling conflict with a new movie set to be released next year. Welch joins the pilot as writer, co-showrunner, and executive producer, working alongside the previously announced Fidell, who also will direct. She recently wrapped production on the Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films’ live-action feature, Masters of the Universe as ‘Evil-Lyn’, and will next star in and produce the feature, Together, opposite Dave Franco, which made its debut at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, selling to Neon.
