Alison Brie Reacts to Frequent Collaborator Jeff Baena's Death
Alison Brie paid tribute to Aubrey Plaza’s husband Jeff Baena one day after Us Weekly confirmed the filmmaker died at age 47
In the first image, Brie smiled as she looked at Baena while he spoke at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020 for Horse Girl. Jeff Baena wrote and directed a slate of indie TV shows and films ahead of his sudden death in January 2025. “[Directing is] all I ever want to do; it felt really comfortable and fun,” Baena told Seensome in 2014, referring to directorial debut Life After Beth.
