The summer was the obvious time because from now on there is Oscars campaigning and Thanksgiving and it will be much harder to gather all of their famous friends and the people who would be expected to go. Preparing a prenuptial agreement, which would protect Bezos's finances in the event of a split, will be a big undertaking, covering assets on either side, right down to motor cars and jewellery. News of their romance broke in 2019, around the time that Bezos announced he was divorcing his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, with whom he has four children.
