Alien: Romulus: first trailer for Ridley Scott-approved franchise restarter


Latest chapter in sci-fi series comes from Evil Dead director Fede Alvarez but has approval of those behind the originals

The first trailer for franchise relaunch Alien: Romulus promises a return to the roots of the iconic sci-fi horror series. Originally intended to go straight to Hulu, in the footsteps of the Predator prequel, Prey, Alien: Romulus is now heading to cinemas this summer with Priscilla’s Cailee Spaeny leading a cast of young actors. It arrives as the Fargo creator Noah Hawley prepares to make a TV series based in the Alien universe, set three decades before the first movie, also involving Scott.
