Alicia Keys donates $60K to save performing arts program at her NYC alma mater following Jeremy Allen White's contribution... after a girl, 12, asked for help on GoFundMe

After the students of NYC's Professional Performing Arts School started a GoFundMe to save their theater program, alum Alicia Keys made a big donation along with her label Roc Nation.

Along with her label Roc Nation, the Grammy winner, 43, donated $60,000 to a GoFundMe organized by 7th grade student Tennyson Artigliere to save the theater program at the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) in New York City. Although the funds raised are enough to continue the school's partnership with Waterwell after the April 12 deadline, a spokesperson for PPAS told the Daily News that other arts partners are under consideration. Other notable PPAS alums include Britney Spears, Claire Danes, Jesse Eisenberg, Lana Candor, Sarah Hyland, and Josh Peck.
