The series stars Stay Close actress Sarah Parish as a police detective who realises the controversial system isn’t working when a woman is found murdered and singer Alexandra Burke plays a teacher who becomes part of the investigation. How can women go out at night, not have to worry about what they’re wearing, not have to hold a key in their hand, not have to keep looking over their shoulder, not have anxiety or panic attacks about leaving their homes?’ His answer was, ‘I don’t know.’ And that’s the point of the show.” Alexandra with co-star Mandip GillSarah, meanwhile, who has won acclaim for her roles in series like Cutting It and Bancroft, signed up for Curfew once she realised what a multi-layered woman she’d be playing.
