Alex Salmond, the former First Minister of Scotland and leader of the Alba Party, has died at the age of 69 after reportedly suffering a heart attack, according to a source close to him

Alex Salmond, the 69-year-old leader of the Alba Party, has tragically passed away after suffering what is believed to be a heart attack shortly after giving a speech in North Macedonia. In a statement given to the Daily Record's sister paper, the Sunday Mail, it was disclosed by an acquaintance that Salmond was at an event today when he suddenly collapsed and died from what is suspected to be a heart attack. His passing occurred on Saturday while he was engaged in the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy Forum held in Ohrid, having spoken on a panel just the day before with his deputy, Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh.
