Alex Lifeson Still Doesn’t Want to Reform Rush With Geddy Lee

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson remains very close to bassist Geddy Lee, but he doesn't want to get back on the road with him in a version of Rush.

Presenters and 2013 Inductees Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee of Rush attends the Press Room of the 32nd Annual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at Barclays Center on April 7, 2017 in New York City. A little over a year ago, Geddy Lee told Rolling Stone that he was trying to convince Alex Lifeson to agree to a tour that would put them back on the road together for the first time since the final Rush outing in 2015. In a new interview with Classic Rock, Lifeson says that he remains opposed to a tour despite his incredibly close friendship with Lee and their successful appearances at a pair of Taylor Hawkins tribute shows in 2022.
