Alec Baldwin's Brothers and Daughter Ireland React to His Rust Case Dismissal: 'God Is Good'

Alec Baldwin's family — including his daughter Ireland and his three brothers — have shared their reactions online to his involuntary manslaughter charge in his 'Rust' case being dropped on Friday, July 12.

The decision in Alec's case came months after the 30 Rock alum was indicted by a grand jury in January, and nearly three years after the actor was rehearsing a scene on the set of his film Rust, when the gun he was holding discharged and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza. Speaking with PEOPLE this week, legal expert Emily D. Baker said the dismissal "ends the case against Alec Baldwin as a sanction for the prosecution and law enforcement violations of their discovery obligations to the Defense under Brady.” Per the Brady rule, prosecutors must share any material evidence with the defense that could work in the accused's favor, which Alec's legal team argued was ammunition that a man named Troy Teske (a friend of the father of convicted Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed) turned over that he thought was connected to the case.
