Alana Thompson talks to Extra’s” Billy Bush to talk about her new Lifetime original biopic “I Was Honey Boo Boo,” which pulls back the curtain on everything — including her complicated relationship with her mother Mama June. Alana, 19, says the biopic will reveal a lot of what went on behind the cameras, including with Mama June’s drug use. She shares they are now in “a really good spot” and that Mama June is doing great with her sobriety. Alana also reflected on breaking generational curses and how far she has come. She’s studying nursing and shares that she was moved by the impact the nurses had on her late sister Anna when she was battling cancer. Plus, Alana dishes on her BF Dralin Carswell, whom she’s been dating for almost five years, and when they might think about marriage. “I was Honey Boo Boo” premieres May 17 on Lifetime.
