Al Roker Reveals If He Plans to Retire Following Hoda Kotb’s ‘Today’ Exit: ‘Maybe a Year or 2’

Al Roker opened up about his possible retirement and when he thinks he will walk away from Today. The comments came after Hoda Kotb announced her show exit.

“Obviously I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have,” she said in her September 26 announcement while breaking down in tears. I saw it all so clearly: my broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie. NDZ/Star Max/GC ImagesWhile he is sad to see her leave the long-running talk show, he is glad that she will still remain part of the NBC family.
