Al Roker Absent From 'Today' After Dog Undergoes Emergency Surgery
Al Roker was missing from the Monday, May 6, episode of 'Today' after revealing his dog underwent an emergency surgery one day prior
Roberts wrote that her heart was bursting with “gratitude” in her own Instagram post, adding, “Our littlest girl, Pepper, gave us quite a scare. “It was funny [because] we were in the ‘friend zone,’” the Today meteorologist recalled of romancing his now-wife, an NBC correspondent, during a February 2021 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Pepper previously joined Roker on Today in March 2020, sitting on his lap as he gave a weather report from his home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
