Al Pacino Through the Years: His Iconic Roles in ‘The Godfather, and More


Al Pacino went from a theater actor to a film star with his iconic role as Michael Corleone in 1972’s The Godfather

The Tony recipient starred alongside George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Elliott Gould and Andy Garcia in Steven Soderbergh ’s Ocean’s Thirteen(2007). The Oscar-winner returned to the stage in the summer of 2010 playing Shylock in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merchant of Venice, whom he had previously portrayed in Michael Radford ’s 2004 film adaptation. Modì is centered around Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani played by Riccardo Scamarci while Pacino is featured in the supporting role of French art collector Maurice Gangnat.
