AFL: Richmond Football Club chief Brendan Gale sells his Brighton home with a 'hidden room' for over $6.6million

AFL big-wig Brendan Gale has off-loaded his mansion in Melbourne's Bayside for more than $6.6million.

In 2016 Gale splashed out a staggering $974,000 on extensive renovations designed by prestige architect Ben Lempriere reports the Herald Sun. According to the publication, Gale and his wife Jane wanted a 'New York' feel for the re-design that kept the period details of the lavish spread, originally built in 1917. Created as a mix of modern chic and Old-World elegance, the lavish two-level home features grand ceilings, decorative timber finishings, marble fireplaces and box bay windows.
