AEW’s MJF to play Happy Gilmore’s son in upcoming Adam Sandler sequel - Cageside Seats
The AEW star has officially been cast in Netflix’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’. Adam Sandler’s script for the follow-up to his beloved 1986 golf comedy is being kept under wraps, but what we’re hearing about Max’s role may give some of it away.
Deadline reports MJF has been cast in the upcoming sequel to Adam Sandler’s beloved 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore, about a floundering hockey player (and man-child, natch) who takes the professional golf world by storm in order to save his grandmother from eviction. The Hollywood press is keeping mum on the plot, but at least one wrestling outlet — PWInsider — has the scoop on Friedman’s role, which reveals some things. We are told that the Gilmore sons are all ”tough crazy bastards with New England accents who have inherited their father’s love of hockey.
