Aerosmith Announces Retirement From Touring Amid Steven Tyler’s Ongoing Vocal Cord Injury


Aerosmith has officially announced their retirement from touring amid Steven Tyler‘s vocal cord injury.

Brad Whitford, Steven Tyler, Tom Hamilton and Joe Perry of Aerosmith perform at UBS Arena on Sept. 9, 2023 in Elmont, New York. The statement continued that Tyler “has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury,” before adding, “We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Aerosmith, formed in 1970 by Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry and bassist Tom Hamilton, were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
