Adrien Brody Says a Makeup Person on The Brutalist Mistook His Nose for a Prosthetic and Tried to 'Remove' It
Adrien Brody said that a makeup person on 'The Brutalist' tried to remove his real nose, thinking he was wearing a prosthetic. "She says, 'Oh, I'm so sorry.' And then she goes, 'This is going in my diary,' " he recalled with a laugh.
Brody is nominated for Best Actor at the upcoming Academy Awards for his role in The Brutalist as fictional Hungarian-Jewish architect László Tóth, who arrives in the United States in 1947 after surviving World War II and the Holocaust. I've had a wonderful career but there's been plenty of peaks and valleys, and I think right now — I was very aware of how remarkable those circumstances were then," Brody said of his previous Oscar win. Timothée Chalamet could surpass Brody as the Oscars' youngest Best Actor winner if he wins for his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
