Adolescence star Owen Cooper's surprise link to Corrie's Tina O'Brien revealed as she slams ‘elitism’
Adolescence's Owen Cooper has been the breakout star of the gripping Netflix show and now his connection to Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien has been revealed
The soap star, who has reportedly split from her husband of 14 years, set up the centre "after noticing a gap in the market for high quality drama classes in Manchester". Stephen Graham, the mastermind behind the show as creator, writer, and actor for Jamie's dad Eddie Miller, discussed casting Owen for the role during an ITV interview. In conversation with The Independent, Stephen elaborated on their choice: "We wanted someone who didn't have a lot of experience, but we knew that what we were doing and what we were trying to ask this young person to do was cosmic in many ways."
