Adolescence star Ashley Walters drinking ‘from morning to night’ amid booze battle: ‘I’d drink mouthwash if I needed to’

The star of Adolescence, Ashley Walters, confessed to being a 'functioning alcoholic' while filming the Channel 4 show Top Boy.

Ashley, who plays Luke Bascombe in the latest Netflix miniseries, has been vocal about his alcohol battle and its impact on his life. He was played Dushane alongside Kane Robinson’s character Sully in the hit Channel 4 crime drama. During his conversation on the GRM Daily podcast Thoughts in a Culli, Ashley admitted to drinking throughout the day, even when he was on set.
