Adele reveals the real reason she took on her Las Vegas residency - as the singer admits she's not sure when she will perform again


On Saturday, the singer, 36, emoitonally took to the stage for the final time at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace after a two year stint as artist in residence.

On stage on Saturday night, Adele chugged a glass of wine and told the huge audience of 5,000 fans, in a clip shared to X: 'I am so sad that this residency is over and I am so glad that it happened I really, really am. After the hugely lucrative and successful run, as well as a 10-night residency at a purpose-built stadium in Munich, Adele is ready to hang up her microphone after the vast amount of shows left her feeling 'battered'. In a new interview ahead of her last show on Saturday, the Hello hitmaker told how she's ready to say goodbye to her fans for an extended period of time, with Adele looking forward to enjoying plenty of bed rest and red wine - having denied herself the latter due to the impact it has on her vocal cords.
