Addison Rae to Put the Soda Back in Pop With New Single ‘Diet Pepsi’

Addison Rae is set to release her first solo single of the year, 'Diet Pepsi,' this Friday.

Rae officially announced the single Monday and shared the cover art after teasing the song — her first for Columbia Records — on social media over the past week. “Diet Pepsi” will be Rae’s first solo song of 2024, though earlier this year, she teamed with Charli XCX and A.G. Cook for a remix of Charli’s Brat single “Von Dutch.” Last year, Rae — who rose to prominence as a dancer and influencer on TikTok — officially launched her pop girl era with AR, a short EP that featured songs originally slated for a scrapped project known as “the lost album.” Last year, she appeared in Eli Roth’s holiday slasher flick Thanksgiving, and she’s part of the voice cast for the upcoming live-action/animated film Animal Friends, which is set to hit theaters in 2025.
