Adam Verdugo Exits As ‘CBS Evening News With Norah O’Donnell’ EP Amid Overhaul Of Broadcast
The change is the latest to the broadcast, which will have two new anchors later this year.
Adam Verdugo is stepping down as executive producer of CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell, amid a pending overhaul of the broadcast. The network said that Verdugo has been assisting in the transition, which will see the CBS Evening News return to New York as its home base after five years in D.C. He moved to New York in 2017 to oversee talent bookings, and was senior producer when O’Donnell became anchor of the newscast in 2019, and later promoted to executive story editor.
