Adam Peaty confirms Paris Olympics fate after swimmer caught Covid-19


Adam Peaty was unable to compete in the mixed 4 x 100m medley relay heats on Friday, but was back in the pool on Saturday for the qualifying heat of the men's 4 x 100m medley relay

After testing positive for the virus on Monday following his silver win the day before, Adam was unable to complete in the mixed 4 x 100m medley relay on Friday, but returned to the pool on Saturday 3 August for the qualifying heats of the men's 4 x 100m relay medley, alongside teammates Oliver Morgan, Joe Litchfield and Matt Richards. The British Olympic Association confirmed the Olympian's plight, saying, "Adam Peaty began feeling unwell on Sunday, ahead of his men's 100m breaststroke final.
