Adam Pearson Speaks Out Against How Actors with Disabilities Are Only Offered Certain Types of Roles: 'Lazy Writing'
British actor Adam Pearson, who was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis, a rare genetic condition, said actors with disabilities are only offered certain types of roles. He also said writing about disability without consultation can be “inauthentic and inaccurate.”

Pearson was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis, a rare genetic condition that leaves his skin covered in thousands of thick, painful tumors. Pearson stars in A Different Man alongside Sebastian Stan and Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve.
