Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph To Be Honored With A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph will be honored with the 2,808th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, April 16, at 11:30 am PT at 6623 Hollywood Boulevard. Ralph will receive her star in the category of Television.

Her other television credits include recurring roles on Showtime’s Ray Donovan opposite Jon Voight; Freeform’s Motherland: Fort Salem as the President of the United States “President Kelly Wade”; Claws; Barbershop; One Mississippi, created by Diablo Cody and Tig Notaro; CBS’s Emmy-nominated Designing Women; New Attitude; It’s a Living; and guest appearances on The Black Lady Sketch Show, MacGyver, ER, 2 Broke Girls, Smash, George, Criminal Minds, L.A. Law, The Jeffersons, and Good Times. She went on to work with more of Hollywood’s other top leading and award-winning men in films, including The Mighty Quinn, opposite Denzel Washington; Mistress, with Robert De Niro; To Sleep with Anger, with Danny Glover; and The Distinguished Gentleman, with Eddie Murphy. On stage, Sheryl is well known for her award-winning work, creating the role of Deena Jones in the legendary Broadway musical Dreamgirls, which earned her Best Actress nods for Tony and Drama Desk Awards.
