Written and directed by Tyler Perry, the film dives into the true story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the first military division comprised of Black women and the first to serve overseas during World War II. Led by officer Charity Adams ( Kerry Washington), while in Europe, the faction was tasked with sorting and delivering over 17 million pieces of backlog mail that was mostly damaged or undeliverable due to insufficient storage holdings.
