Actor Jack Merrill Says He Was Abducted, Raped by John Wayne Gacy
Actor Jack Merrill, whose on-screen credits include ‘Law & Order’ and ‘Sex and the City,’ said he was abducted and raped by John Wayne Gacy as a teenager
Writing for People magazine on Wednesday, October 23, Merrill described living by himself in Chicago at the time and encountering Gacy — who was executed via lethal injection in 1994 — while walking home at night. The New York Times and the New Yorker first published investigative pieces in 2017 that accused disgruntled movie producer Harvey Weinstein of decades of sexual assault and harassment. Cocreator Ryan Murphy has his favorite actors — Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange and Angela Bassett, to name a few — which means the same performers often appear across seasons as different characters.
