Acorn TV Reaches New Viewership Highs In May With Month-Long Murder Mystery Event, Fueling Growth For ‘Harry Wilds’ & ‘The Brokenwood’

Acorn TV set several records in May thanks to a slew of murder mystery programming and key partnerships with other networks

Per Acorn, Murder Mystery May also attracted a record number of unique, engaged subscribers, up double digits from the streamer’s average over the past 12 months. “We are thrilled with the response to our first ever month-long celebration of Acorn TV and the engrossing mysteries, drama and detectives that have captivated subscribers for more than a decade,” Courtney Thomasma, executive vice president of linear and streaming products for AMC Networks, said in a statement “A big thank you to the incredible cast of characters who came together to bring this expanded mystery slate to life for our fans in new and innovative ways – and, of course, to everyone who came along to enjoy the thrills along with us! That meant that the modest platform was able to leverage AMC+ to its advantage as well as that streamer hosted an Acorn TV Mystery pop-up collection to drive attention to the programming event.
