Abigail Disney to Donate to Kamala Harris’ Presidential Campaign, Backs VP ‘With All My Heart’
Abigail Disney is backing Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign, after saying she would stop donations if Biden stayed in the race.
Disney, the outspoken filmmaker and philanthropist who is the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney, less than a month ago said she was convinced Biden would lose in a rematch with Donald Trump and that she would “stop any contributions” to the Democratic party “unless and until” Biden was replaced at the top of the ticket. Other entertainment figures jumping on the Harris bandwagon have included Netflix co-founder and executive chairman Reed Hastings, who had called on Biden to exit the presidential race. A longtime Democratic donor, Abigail Disney gave $50,000 to the Jane Fonda Climate political action committee in April 2024, according to an FEC filing.
