ABC star Leigh Sales' 'surprising new career move' after leaving 7.30
ABC star Leigh Sales is set to expand her career in a new TV role after leaving the network's current affairs show 7:30 in 2022.
The popular series explores the professional and personal lives of Australian journalists working in a newsroom in the 1980s and discusses real life events from the era. Last year, Sales revealed on Instagram the show's creator Michael Lucas had reached out to her to discuss her experiences as a junior journalist breaking into the industry. Sales had earlier taken a six-week break to homeschool her kids in 2021 during the Covid pandemic - highlighting the pressure she faced heading a national program and being a single mother.
