ABC premiere leaves audience in stitches after it's 'totally ruined' by rogue karaoke mic: 'It was too funny'

The Sydney premiere of the ABCs upcoming series Westerners turned into a disaster on Monday when it became 'hijacked' by a nearby karaoke night.

Members of the Westerners creative team were left helpless on stage as the singer completed their song when venue staff struggled to fix the issue. Set to drop on April 9 on ABC iview, Westerners follows three young adults from Sydney's west who fall into a series of bizarre and comedic adventures. The show was created via Screen Australia's Fresh Blood initiative and was written by Kevin Duo Han and Mark Mariano and made by Haven't You Done Well Productions.
