ABC News Promotes James Longman To Chief International Correspondent


Longman has been with the network since 2017.

ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic said in a statement that Longman’s “intrepid reporting and powerful storytelling have elevated ABC News’ global coverage since he joined seven years ago, and in this new, well-deserved role, James will continue to deliver best-in-class journalism for our audiences across all programs and platforms.” Longman’s contributions to network coverage of the climate crisis and Ukraine have earned Emmys, and his reporting on LGBTQ+ abuses in Chechnya received a David Bloom Awards. He is the author of the upcoming book The Inherited Mind, about his family’s history of schizophrenia and depression.
