Aaron Pierre To Play John Stewart In James Gunn’s Green Lantern TV Series
The DC Universe has found its John Stewart!
The two actors will star together in the upcoming DC Universe series set to premiere on HBO, focusing on the intergalactic adventures of the iconic Green Lantern Corps with a True Detective-type story. Pierre’s recent work includes portraying Malcolm X in NatGeo’s Genius: MLK/X, as well as roles in Garth Davis’ Foe and Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad. Mundy is co-writing the series with Damon Lindelof, known for HBO’s Watchmen and The Leftovers, and Eisner Award winner Tom King, recognized for Mister Miracle and Supergirl.
