Aaron Pierre & Stephan James Among Finalists For John Stewart In ‘Green Lantern’ Series

Aaron Pierre, star of Netflix’s Rebel Ridge, and Stephan James from The Piano Lesson are both being considered for the role of Green Lantern John Stewart.

The much-anticipated series, which will focus on the Green Lanterns Corps, is one of the key upcoming projects in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Aaron Pierre, star of Netflix’s Rebel Ridge and Disney’s upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King, and Stephan James from The Piano Lesson are both being considered for the role of John Stewart, a fan-favorite Green Lantern. Mundy is co-writing the series with Damon Lindelof, known for HBO’s Watchmen and The Leftovers, and Eisner Award winner Tom King, recognized for Mister Miracle and Supergirl.
