Aaron Carter’s Family Drop Single ‘Recovery’ Ahead of Posthumous Album

On Friday, Aaron Carter's family released the posthumous single 'Recovery,' and shared that they'll drop an album next month.

The song’s lyrics hear Carter trying to find optimism amid struggle: “Tomorrow is a new day / Tryin’ to shake the pain away / ‘Cause I’m still in recovery.” A portion of proceeds from both “Recovery” and the album will benefit mental health nonprofit On Our Sleeves and a trust for Aaron’s son, Prince Lyric Carter. According to a police report obtained by the Associated Press, Carter was last seen alive the day before his death by Sheriff’s deputies, who visited his home to conduct a welfare check after the singer was seen huffing on an Instagram live video.
