A+E Favors Global Media Over Networks in Corporate Renaming


A+E will overhaul its corporate name to reflect the growing importance of digital media

The announcement comes on the same day that A+E is holding an “ upfront ” presentation for advertisers aimed at selling the bulk of its commercial inventory tied to its next cycle of content. Last month, A+E unveiled a new digital division led by former Dow Jones executive Ann McGowan, a move that poised the company to place a new spotlight on YouTube channels, SVOD platforms including A&E Crime Central, History Vault and Lifetime Movie Club, short form video creation, editorial newsletters and social handles across Instagram, X, Facebook and TikTok. “With a vast portfolio of premium brands, cutting-edge studios, and world-class talent, we create compelling narratives that deeply engage viewers across every screen and platform,” said Paul Buccieri, president and chairman of A+E Global Media, in a statement.
