A$AP Rocky Recalls Trying to Get a Role in a ‘Star Wars’ Film: ‘My Audition Was Trash’

A$AP Rocky once auditioned for a 'Star Wars' film, but says his audition was "trash."

Rocky revealed in an interview with Variety published Tuesday (May 7) that he auditioned to play Lando Calrissian in the 2018 prequel Solo: A Star Wars Story, which Billy Dee Williams originally helmed. Rocky plays Denzel’s son Yung Felon in the film, which is said to be loosely based on Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 noir High and Low. The rapper-fashion designer explained on The Run-Through With Vogue that the Oscar winner was pulling up to set bumping modern Memphis rappers such as Pooh Shiesty and Moneybagg Yo.
