Despite the bawdy nature of the pic, A24 booked the movie in theaters over the holiday season as there’s always room for a hard-R play at the Christmas time box office. Babygirl made its world premiere at Venice, and went on to gather Best Actress nominations for Kidman at the Golden Globes and Gotham Awards (Outstanding Lead Performance). In that movie, a woman’s picture-perfect life in quaint Holland, Michigan crumbles, when she and a friend uncover a twisted secret in their midst.
