A24 Sets Nationwide Release For Alex Garland & Ray Mendoza’s Iraq War Pic ‘Warfare’
The Alex Garland co-directed Iraq war movie 'Warfare' is opening on April 11.
Last year, on the second weekend of April, A24 released Garland’s dystopian political thriller Civil War which wound up their biggest stateside opening at $25.5M and their second highest grossing movie ever with $127M worldwide. Warfare embeds audiences with a platoon of American Navy SEALs in the home of an Iraqi family, overwatching the movement of US forces through insurgent territory. The cast includes D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Taylor John Smith, Michael Gandolfini, Adain Bradley, Noah Centineo, Evan Holtzman, Henrique Zaga with Joseph Quinn and Charles Melton.
