Host of A Place in the Sun Laura Hamilton opened up about her autoimmune disease flare-ups that have impacted her week.

According to Kings College Hospital, ITP is an “autoimmune condition that causes a low platelet count, which can lead to an increased risk of bleeding.” After many of her 214,000 followers reached out to the TV star, Laura detailed her “crazy week” in a video message while sympathising with those who also have the disease. She said: “It was really mad a year ago I was filming A Place In The Sun with a lovely couple in France – Mark and Janine – and I just stood there and I had an insect bite on my leg and I started scratching it.
