A Place in the Sun star gets 'life-changing' health diagnosis after suffering years in denial
A Place in the Sun's Jean Johansson has been diagnosed with a common eye condition that makes it difficult to focus on nearby objects, after years of ignoring the signs
A Place In The Sun's Jean Johansson has opened up about her recent diagnosis of presbyopia, a condition that causes a gradual loss of the eyes' ability to focus on nearby objects. "I'm not entirely sure why it took me so long to admit I needed glasses," she added, attributing part of her reluctance to accepting the ageing process and the inevitable deterioration of vision that comes with it. People with presbyopia might find themselves squinting while reading at a regular distance, battling blurred vision, and even feeling eyestrain or headaches after doing close-up work.
