A New Reba McEntire Sitcom Is in the Works at NBC
The network has ordered a pilot for her as-yet-untitled comedy.
The multi-hyphenate entertainer and businesswoman — who is also gearing up to perform the national anthem during the Super Bowl on Feb. 11 — will star in the comedy and will also be an executive producer. In the multi-camera series, McEntire’s character inherits her father’s restaurant, and in the process, discovers her new business partner is the half-sister she never knew she had. McEntire is also currently gearing up for her second season on the NBC music competition series The Voice, on which she serves as a coach alongside John Legend, duo Dan+Shay and Chance the Rapper.
