Phantom Labs, a production and design firm, alleged it only received partial payments, or sometimes none at all, for its work on Sunday Services, the Free Larry Hoover Concert, the Donda 2 livestream event, Coachella, warehouse fees, and other projects from June 2021 to April 2022. “In the face of this rejection, Defendants arrogantly and unilaterally decided they would simply steal ‘I Feel Love’ and use it without permission.” The estate sought to recover damages, attorneys fees, and any profits earned by the unauthorized “blatant rip-off” of the song.
