Jon M. Chu will direct the 'Woman in Me' adaptation about Britney Spears' life, with Marc Webb also on board to produce.

It was announced on Thursday that Universal Pictures has landed the rights to Spears' bestselling memoir, The Woman in Me, in what it is describing as a "highly competitive auction." Universal Pictures announced on Aug. 1 that a Britney Spears biopic movie based on the superstar's 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, was coming. In the book, Spears gets candid about her conservatorship, having an at-home abortion during her high-profile romance with Justin Timberlake and her past dating history.
