‘Yellowstone’ Eyes Surprise Season 6 as Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser in Talks to Continue Series
'Yellowstone' may not be over, after all, as Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are in talks to lead a sixth season of Paramount's Western mega-hit.
Hauser plays Rip Wheeler, Beth’s wife and an employee and “fixer” of Dutton Ranch. Costner has said he chose to depart the series due to Paramount’s choice to split Season 5 into two parts, which the actor said interfered with his work on his four-part Western film series, “Horizon: An American Saga.” As “Yellowstone” was filming its final episodes, Costner was still expressing a desire to close his arc as the ranch-owning patriarch John Dutton, but he and the network were ultimately unable to come to terms. That show, which was previously in development under the title “2024,” will star Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox, and follow a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.
