‘Yellowstone’ Creator Taylor Sheridan Teams With Blake Shelton for CBS Singing Competition ‘The Road’
'Yellowstone' creator Taylor Sheridan and 'The Voice' alum Blake Shelton have announced a new singing competition for CBS titled 'The Road.'
“The Road” will follow a music superstar on a journey to discover the next big artist, with budding singers joining the headliner on tour, performing as opening acts in venues across the U.S. In addition to being an original coach on NBC’s “The Voice,” where he stayed for 23 seasons, Shelton has also been a judge on “Nashville Star” and “Clash of the Choirs.” Sheridan, whose “Yellowstone” television universe has spawned a number of spinoffs, also created the CMT docuseries “The Last Cowboy.” “Blake and I have been working together a long time and now joining forces with Taylor and David is literally the kind of team you dream about to bring something of this scale to country music fans,” added Metzger.
